Die Ärzte are bringing their “Eine Gänsehaut nach dem andern!” tour to Hamburg in May 2027. Farin Urlaub, Bela B and Rodrigo González will play Barclays Arena on May 4 and 5 – part of a 32-date anniversary run across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 10am CET.

45 Years, 32 Shows, 16 Cities

Founded in Berlin-Spandau in 1982, the band is celebrating 45 years with this tour. It kicks off April 8, 2027 at Max-Schmeling-Halle in Berlin and wraps up June 5–6 with two open-air shows at Parkbühne Wuhlheide – the tour starts and ends in the trio’s hometown. In between: double shows in Dortmund (three nights at Westfalenhalle, no less), Leipzig, Munich, Cologne, Bremen, Vienna, Zurich, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Erfurt and Hanover, plus single dates in Chemnitz, Düsseldorf and Freiburg.

Hamburg: Two Nights, Different Start Times

Two dates at Barclays Arena are confirmed:

• Tuesday, May 4, 2027 – Doors 6pm, show 8pm
• Wednesday, May 5, 2027 – Doors 5pm, show 7pm

The second night starts an hour earlier than the first. Barclays Arena also offers VIP event boxes for groups of ten or more, including a three-course dinner and premium lounge access. A practical bonus: public transit (HVV) is included in the ticket price on show day.

Social Tickets at €19.90

The most striking detail of this tour announcement isn’t the line-up – it’s the ticketing. Die Ärzte are offering so-called Sozialtickets (social tickets) for all 32 shows: discounted admission at €19.90 (CHF 25 in Switzerland), aimed at fans on low incomes.

Eligibility is determined by official municipal criteria in each city. For Hamburg, anyone who can present a current proof of benefits with a Hamburg address – Bürgergeld (unemployment benefits under SGB II), basic income support (SGB XII) or benefits under Germany’s Asylum Seekers Benefits Act – can order up to four personalised tickets. A scan of the proof must be uploaded during checkout through the official shop; at the door, ticket, proof of benefits and photo ID are all checked.

The band says it has been running its tours carbon-neutral since 2007. A sustainability concept is confirmed for 2027 as well. “With oomph and fanfare. With sustainability concept and social ticket. With Mexican waves and phone-flashlight candlelight. With wall of death and cultural distinction,” Bela B wrote in the official tour announcement. “In the end, everyone’s happy. With a clear conscience. Promise.”
