Kreator Bring Carcass, Exodus and Nails to Hamburg’s Inselpark Arena

Four bands carrying over 150 years of metal history between them – and all four at the top of their game. Kreator bring their Krushers Of The World Tour to Hamburg’s Inselpark Arena on 17 April 2026, with Carcass, Exodus and Nails in tow.

The tour has been running since 20 March, tearing through more than 20 European countries, and Hamburg lands near the end – Copenhagen on 25 April is the final stop. What that means in practice: the band is locked in, the setlist is tight, and whatever opening-night nerves existed are long gone. This is the version of the show you want to catch.

Kreator

For over 40 years, the most important impulses in German thrash have come from Essen. Kreator didn’t just shape the genre – they’re one of the reasons thrash metal was ever taken seriously outside the Bay Area. With “Pleasure to Kill” (1986), they put a level of aggression on record that left nobody cold at the time. Remarkably, they never lost it.

“Krushers Of The World”, their 16th studio album, came out on 16 January 2026 via Nuclear Blast. Produced by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios – the same man behind “Phantom Antichrist” (2012) and “Gods Of Violence” (2017). Artwork by Zbigniew Bielak, known among other things for his work with Ghost. The album entered the charts at number 2 in both Germany and Austria.

Four singles preceded it: “Seven Serpents”, “Tränenpalast” (featuring guest vocals from Britta Görtz), “Satanic Anarchy” and the title track. The band – Mille Petrozza on vocals and rhythm guitar, Sami Yli-Sirniö on lead guitar, Frédéric Leclercq on bass and Ventor on drums – delivers ten tracks in 44 minutes. No filler, no fat.

Carcass

Liverpool, 1985. Carcass stretched the extreme metal spectrum at both ends: the grindcore of their early years and the melodic death metal of “Heartwork” (1993) are so far apart that it’s hard to believe the same band made both. That’s not a contradiction – that’s development. Jeff Walker and Bill Steer followed their first comeback album “Surgical Steel” (2013) with “Torn Arteries” (2021), proving the name isn’t trading on nostalgia. New material isn’t on the horizon – but a Carcass show in 2026 remains an argument in itself.

Exodus

Bay Area, 1979. Exodus predate Metallica, and Kirk Hammett left them in 1983 to replace Dave Mustaine. They never got as big. That never interested them. “Bonded by Blood” (1985) is one of the most uncompromising debut albums in thrash history, and Gary Holt has never stopped playing like he has something to prove. Their latest album “Goliath” came out on 20 March 2026 – the day the tour started – and marks the return of vocalist Rob Dukes. Released via Napalm Records, produced by Mark Lewis: the first time in over three decades without Andy Sneap at the mixing desk. Exodus aren’t coming to Hamburg as a nostalgia act. They’re coming with new material and a reputation earned over four decades.

Nails

Oxnard, California. Nails are the wildcard on this bill – and probably the loudest thing on it. Todd Jones, formerly of Terror, built a band that compresses grindcore, powerviolence and death metal so tightly that a full album can clock in shorter than the average intro elsewhere. “Every Bridge Burning” (2024) is their most ferocious statement yet. If you don’t know Nails: ten minutes into the set, you will.
